Tough going in places. I found myself skipping through some bits and rereading others. It's taken nearly a month - the longest time I've stuck with a book for ages.The story line is convoluted, with intrigue, rivalry and politics - like life then. I you stick with it then a good read. Having said that, I'm taking a break before hitting Book 2!
